Spellweavers, we hope you’re all fairing well during these times. We are pretty busy at the Sviper HQ, and here are some insights on a few major upcoming changes.
After a lot of back and forth, we came to terms that the Community forum in SSH needs to get replaced. There are multiple reasons behind it but mainly because the software is not developed by us, and it's sometimes hard to shape and bend it to our needs. Some of you Android users might have noticed that it’s not possible to upload any kind of attachment in the forum. The tool is a very extensive piece of software, of which we only use a small fraction, and there is just too much overhead and not enough functionality for the purposes of a real forum.
In that aspect we came to terms with the following split:
- Official info like dev logs, changes and updates can be found on our support page.
You can access them directly from the game via map -> settings or via web in case you are not in the game via http://support.sviper.com . We want to make it easier for you to find official information in one place and using the existing support tool to post the change logs and other announcements feels like the better choice. You can access and read everything there without logging-in to the game. You can also send us any kind of ideas, issues or feedback via our usual ticketing system. The attachment limit is increased (for the support tool as-well), from 15 MB to 50MB, that also allows the upload of small clips.
- The forum aspect, i.e. user posts, open discussions etc. will be done in the existing community social platforms.
We value and enjoy our community. The option of open discourse, all the different art posts, game-play videos, tutorial videos, deck strategies but also the crazy over the top, sometimes absurd ideas, that we sometimes end up loving and implementing are a vital and indispensable part of SSH. We therefore urge you to join the platforms created by our community, such as the Discord channel (https://discord.gg/KzSZVgB), Reddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/SuperSpellHeroes/ ) and Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/groups/1114346235374431). As the discord community is the most active and biggest we will link it directly with an in-game button.
Onto the scoring system:
Some have already noticed and commented on our new scoring system. Overall we received a lot of positive feedback from the community, but also some complaints about the scoring difference in clans and the hall of fame. We are already working on some improvements to the clan settings so clans can limit member applications by score again. We are also reviewing and comparing previous scores with the current achieved scores this season. We are reviewing these values again and are expecting some changes for the next season to improve the overall scoring.
Matchmaking issues:
After having the new matchmaking work for a few weeks we checked all collected data and came to the conclusion that we have to do some more changes to the system. Unfortunately some things did not work as we expected. Thanks a lot for all the reports we did get about any kind of issue.
Thats it so far, looking forward to your comments, see you on the next one but till then,
Happy Battling
